ABOUT AKKAYA VALLEY: Akkaya Valley (www.akkaya-valley.com ) is located in the outskirts of Dalaman Town. Only 20 km. of drive away from the Dalaman International Airport. A great alternative to the usual Holiday resorts in the area. Akkaya Valley, also called the Secret Valley, for a good reason. It is ‘’away from it all’’, and yet, close to amenities like restaurant, bar and shop. There are the grand views of Akkaya Lake, mountains, pine forests, citrus and olive groves, which makes the valley ideal for a tranquil and quiet Holiday. Due to the building restrictions, only a small number of houses and villas were built in the area. You can try the Akkaya Lake Boat Trip. You will be taken to the Akkaya Gorge (only accessible via boat or sailing), where you can marvel at one of Turkey’s hidden nature’s secrets. There is a sandy beach by the Lake, where you may go for a swim, sunbathe, or dine and drink at our Beach Club (not to mention the BBQ parties!). We have an Indoor Sports Centre and Gym, as well as, an Indoor Pool in the Valley, for those who wish to keep fit, during their Holiday. Also, you can go sailing, canoeing, and fishing on the lake, with our own private excursions. The Akkaya Horse Farm and Horse Riding School is our brand new attraction! We have horses and ponies at our farm, for those who enjoy riding (the beginners and kids are welcome!). If you like the nature sports, there are many opportunities including, hiking, trekking, cycling, mountain biking, and, bird-watching, where you may be able to spot various species of birds, on different months of the year. ABOUT TURQUOISE COAST AND LYCIAN REGION Should you wish to travel the area, the famous Blue Flag beaches, bays, and towns are very close by. The Sarsala Beach 20 min., Sarigerme Beach 30 min., İztuzu (World famous Caretta-sea turtles beach) Beach is 30 min. of drive away. Also, for nightlife, shopping, boat trips, and sight-seeing, the towns of Gocek, Dalyan and Koycegiz are less than 30 minutes, Fethiye and Marmaris are, less than 1 hour drive away. Around and between the Turquoise Coast of Turkey, there are many historical and archaeological sites, to visit. Many adventure sports such as, snorkel diving, scuba diving, white water rafting and canoeing, wind-surfing, sailing and paragliding, to name but a few, are well established in the area, and available all along the Coast. Turkey has an established Marina culture, as well. With many along the coast, the New Dalaman Marina, with its latest technology and capacity, as well as, ultra modern design is now being built, and clearly is going to be one of the main attractions, in Dalaman area. FLIGHTS TO AND FROM DALAMAN AIRPORT: Dalaman International Airport has frequent flights from mid-April to late October via most major tour companies. There are flights from every major Airport in the UK and EU countries, as well as from Asia and Africa. During off-season, there will be connected flights via Istanbul to Dalaman. DIRECTIONS: From Dalaman International Airport towards Dalaman/Fethiye junction. Straight on the roundabout. Drive for 7 km. From the Akkaya Restaurant sign on the right side of the road, turn right. Follow the main road up the hill and then from the hill top, drive downwards, following Akkaya Restaurant signs. You will reach a country junction with various signs.
